What is Christmas for the City?

Christmas for the City is a joint effort of local churches to reach out to the community with a unique Christmas program.  This program will feature choral music from adults and children along with orchestra, hand bells and much more! 

Christmas for the City Ticket Information
Ticket sales are now open to the public and you can purchase them online for our upcoming community-wide Christmas program – Christmas for the City.  Cost is $6/per ticket plus an additional 18 cents per ticket for on-line sales.  You can also purchase tickets in person at our CBC Campus Offices and at the CBC Information Table each Sunday morning.  Other ticket locations:  Oak Hollow Thrift on Eastchester Drive in High Point, and LifeWay Christian Bookstore in Greensboro.

Limited Free Tickets available.  Must have a ticket to attend.

Doors will open 45 minutes before performance times.

How Can I Be Involved?

It takes many volunteers in various areas to help make this program possible.  You do not need to attend Community Bible Church to be involved.

There are many opportunities to serve “behind the scenes” of Christmas for the City:

Set-Up/Load-In Team – This team will provide set-up at First Wesleyan Church @ Providence Place on Sunday, December 7 starting at 2pm; Monday, December 8 & Tuesday, December 9 starting at 6:30pm.

Set-Up on Sunday, December 7 – We are in need of helping hands to set-up at First Wesleyan Church @ Providence Place on Sunday, December 7 starting at 2pm for more information or to sign-up, please contact  and put "Dec. 7 Set-up" in the subject line.

Tear-Down Team – This team will provide tear-down at First Wesleyan Church @ Providence Place on Saturday, December 13 starting at 9:30pm.  Please contact .

Hospitality Team – This team will provide meals for the performers and tech crew at Providence Place on Saturday, December 14 between the 1:30pm and 6pm performances.  Please contact for more information.

Drama Team – If you would like more information on serving on the drama team, please contact .  We also have a need for non-speaking parts of shepherds, kings, and their entourages.

Usher Team – If you would like more information on serving as an usher, please contact .

Greeter Team – If you would like more information on serving as a greeter, please contact .

Security Team – If you would like more information on serving on the security team, please contact .

Parking Lot Team – If you would like more information on serving on the parking lot team, please contact .

Banner Carriers – We will be using banners this year and will need men to help carry banners during the performances each night.  It is suggested that you are able to lift and carry 50lbs.  Please contact for more information.
