The Worship and Arts ministry at CBC glorifies God through Biblical, Christ-centered worship. Creatively using music and arts, the team strives to reach our community and world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
What you can expect on Sunday Mornings
The Sunday morning worship services provide a phenomenal blend of music, led by a praise band and praise team; with a praise choir alternating every other week. There is a creative use of audio, video and drama elements to futher illustrate the message.
Beyond Sunday Mornings
There are a variety of ways to get involved in worship and arts at CBC. We desire to equip every team member to function in their own calling and giftedness for ministry. Praise Choir
This group helps lead worship week to week and in addition does special music and seasonal productions. Everyone in the praise team is also part of this larger group.
Praise Team
The praise team is our smaller vocal ensemble that helps lead worship each week.
Praise Band
This team is composed of piano, keyboards, bass guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, percussion & drums and helps lead worship in our weekly services.
Sound Team
This team is responsible for our sound reinforcement each week. God has provided us with some wonderful equipment that we desire to use for His glory!
AV Team
The AV team provides visual & lyrics support for all of our services. This includes professionally created graphics displayed through ProPresenter or Power Point.
Video Team
The video team records our weekly services and creates visual pieces including announcements, baptism testimonies, sermon support clips, etc. There are opportunities for camera work, recording and duplicating, editing, producing & creating visuals.
Lighting Team
This team exists to provide house and theatrical lighting for worship services and special events in a way that reflects artistic excellence honoring the Lord.
Creative Planning Team
This team meets weekly to give input into our weekly worship services as well as other special services. Suggestions for worship music, special music, dramas, and other creative elements are generated at their meetings. This team is behind much of the creative impetus for our annual Carols by Candlelight production each December.
Drama Team
We utilize drama in a number of different ways at CBC. Besides participating in worship services, our drama team does KidStuf, seasonal and other special events.
His Kid's Choir
We currently have one children's choir that includes children in grades first - fifth. This group meets weekly during the school year on Sunday afternoons (3:30-4:45) and performs a musical production in the Spring as well as partcipates in our annual Carols by Candlelight production in December. In addition they participate in worship services with special music two to three times a year.
Welcome Center Team
This team helps staff our information and welcome center each Sunday morning and for special services. This is an information and direction area where people are helped get where they need to go and get information about ministries, etc.
Greeter Team
This team greets folks at our weekly services and special events. They are available to guide and give information and directions when needed.
Usher Team
This team is just inside the worship center doors and also welcomes people as well as help seat people and receives the weekly offering.
Video Cafe Service Teams
These teams (Band, Sound, AV, Hospitality, Ushering & Greeting) lead our Video Cafe service that goes on concurrently with the second service at 11:00am on Sundays. Using an edgier musical worship style but the same message/sermon, this service appeals to folks who desire a different style of worship music & enviornment. This service also has the added ammenity of offering coffee, juice & bagels for those participating!
Music & Arts Camp Registration
Music & Arts Camp has become a wonderful event at CBC! Camp is for rising 1st through 6th graders. We strive to give each camper the chance to explore areas that might be of interest to them. Our hope is that they will be excited about glorifying God through the gift of music and the arts! Our camp will be held June 18-22 from 8:30 AM to 12:15 PM. Drama auditions will be held on May 6 from 2-3:30 PM in the Choir Room; singing auditions will be held on May 27 & June 3 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Cost is $40/camper, maximum for families is $50.
