"Route 56" Program for Rising 5th & 6th Graders
Beginning June 2 at 9:30am in the Middle School Room. We will be starting a new program, “Route 56”, for our rising Fifth and Sixth graders.  Pastor Chad Cook and Pastor Dave Annan have prayed and have met with parents and leaders, and thus far have great support to begin this ministry which is specifically designed to meet the needs of this great age group. These students will need to be in the Worship Center or Video Cafe with their parents during 2nd hour.

The Student Ministry of CBC is committed to glorifying Christ in all we do.  It is our prayer that, together with parents, we will develop students into Passionate Followers of Christ.

 We desire for students to experience 3 core truths of WONDER, DISCOVERY, and PASSION.

WONDER: God DESIGNED the world and created me in His image with a unique IDENTITY so I can CONNECT to Him as my heavenly Father.

DISCOVERY: When I follow His Son Jesus by FAITH His Spirit TRANSFORMS me and empowers me to live out His TRUTH.

PASSION: I choose to live in a COMMUNITY of family and friends showing God’s love and COMPASSION every day and demonstrating His story of RESTORATION to the world.

But We can't do this alone, the task is too great and we honestly only have about 50 hours a year to invest.  However Parents have over 3000.  As well the task is too great to do it alone.  Yet our society pushes individualism on parents making it politically correct and even heroic to try to do it all on your own.  Yet we were never meant to live life alone.

The task is too great to do it alone and the cost of failure is astronomical so we are working on creating something NEW - We call it Orange - believing that two of the greatest influences in a teens life are greater when together than just working alone.  

We want to combine to LOVE of Parents (RED) with the LIGHT of Truth found in the Church (YELLOW) to create something NEW - ORANGE. Parents and the Church working together in a partnership.

ORANGE is about creating common conversations at church and continuing them at home.  It's about connecting teens to caring Adults who will guide them along with their parents thru their spiritual journey.  It's about encouraging parents that they are not alone and equipping them to engage their teens. Check out our new parents blog that will help connect parents with the conversations and teaching from our Sunday Night Worship and provide encouragement for the week to keep fighting for the Heart of their Teen.
