Growing with God
The elementary program at CBC is for our children in first through fifth grade. Each fall, we have a promotion Sunday, when the children move to the next classroom based on what grade they are in at school. This year promotion Sunday is August 28. The elementary children are led each week in a classroom setting by coaches. The same coaches serve each week or every other week, enabling close bonds to form between the coach and child. Middle and High School students also serve in various areas of Children's Ministry. Through our Student Impact program, high school students also coaches and role models for the young children. The adult coaches break for the summer and students rotate through crafts, games, and Power Up for time in God's word.
In addition to classroom time with coaches, the children enjoy a time of group worship in the Power Up room. Power Up provides a wonderful time of worship and a relevant Bible story. It is our goal to teach the elementary children "I need to make the wise choice, I can trust God no matter what and I should treat others the way I want to be treated."
Our focus for the elementary aged children is to show them how God's word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. That's why it's important to make sure your child connects with the same friends and consistent leaders, - EVERY SUNDAY!
