Jake Borem

Next Generation Pastor for Students

Originating from south Georgia before moving north for college and seminary, Jake prides himself in knowing how to drive tractors and wrestle alligators while also valuing the art of crafting the perfect cup of coffee and enjoying the downtown scene. After trusting in Christ for salvation at a young age, Jake surrendered his life to ministry at 16 while traveling to central India. Jake attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia where he got his B.S. in Business Administration while working at Crossroads Summer Camp during the summers. After graduating from college, he spent one year interning and being intentionally discipled by the staff at Clayton King Ministries – which propelled him to start seminary at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. He is currently finishing up his Masters degree in Divinity. Before coming to CBC, Jake served on staff at the Summit Church in Durham, NC as Student Director for 3 years and eventually married his amazing wife Rachel. Jake and Rachel moved to the Triad in the summer of 2018 and couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the CBC family!
